now and then too.
Catchphrase: Mark out or get out!
Background: Mark Sterling was a stand out athlete in high school, competing at the state championship level
multiple times in soccer, wrestling, and track. However, his favorite sport was professional wrestling. He first watched it
at age 5 and since has watched it religiously, watching every program and tape he could, until at the age of 21 decided to
live his dream. He debuted as Thanatos (his tribute to Great Muta) August 2001. He was very intense and developed a good fan
following from his suicidal, high flying style. However, his mat skills, promos, and psychology were not very good. Plus many
wrestlers and fans could see he was not comfortable with the "Thanatos" mentality. So Mark adopted a more realistic, fun persona
that was closer to his true life demeanor than the enigmatic Thanatos. He also went to train at places where he could learn
psychology and mat wrestling. Now with a more charismatic in-ring persona, stronger mat skills, a better understanding of
psychology, a more relaxed approach to wrestling, as well as his dangerous high risk moves, Mark is ready to make a name for
himself on the independent wrestling circuit.
