Yeah, I know, I don't post here much.  Myspace blogs are so much easier.

I haven't added a commentary in forever.... so here it goes.

After training at the 2004 WLW/NOAH camp, I was able to get a booking for WWE.  At RAW I was booked to wrestle in a dark match against Muhammed Hassan.  Unfortunatley I was pulled at the last minute and not able to wrestle.  Oh well, live and learn.

The next night at Smackdown I did not wrestle, but was able to hang out with Kenzo Suzuki who I became friends with at OVW. I got to meet the entire roster for both WWE brands and got paid 500 bucks.  Someday I may get another WWE booking, but for now I am studying for the MCAT's.  I want to get into Medical School.  Maybe in like 8 years I'll be Doctor Sterling :)

I gained a lot of weight in 04, so I worked towards losing it and having better matches.  So from November 04 to March 05 I lost 25 pounds!  I refocused my eneregy on wrestling and was able to outlast Strider in the Finals of the Kansas Tournament and win the vacant Kansas strap.  Pick up the "X Marks the Spot" DVD to see a brutal, match of the year canidate, especially if you like a lot of blood....   Thanks Megaphone Man :)

Since winning the NWA Kansas Belt I have had great technical matches with Ryan Ash, Superstar Steven Fender, and Krow.  But Spookshow wanted gold in his stable, so he brought in TNA's Monster Abyss!

I had trained with some some big men in OVW, but this was wrestling a match with a 350 lb psycho in mask!  But I was up for the challenge, especially after Abyss destroyed my trainee Tyler.  At "Beauty and the Beast"  I was able to get the DQ win, which only enraged Abyss.

At "Into the Abyss" I was chokeslammed through a table and Blackhole Slammed on thumbtacks.  Joe MacDonald tried to fire Abyss, but I wanted REVENGE.  So Joe booked a Ladder Match!

Last night was as brutal as our No DQ fight, if not more...  After missing a 450 off a ladder, Abyss and Spookshow tried to handcuff me to the ropes.  I turned the tables and left them handcuffed to the ropes, leaving me unchallenged to climb the ladder and get my belt.

I am beat up and sore, and Abyss is the all monster he is credited with, but I beat odds and I am still the NWA Kansas Champion.  Thank you to the fans, and to NWA Central States for believing I can go toe to toe with a NWATNA Star.

Well I finally updated my site... time to watch some football and play Xbox!

Swanton Bomb off a coke machine through a table....  450 off a ladder...

Now that is EXTREME!

6/6/04   Eldon, MO.  Working for Harley Race is always a great time.  He runs the best federation in the midwest and the best I have worked for in my career.  Backstage the wrestlers had free sodas and gatorade, a chiropracter, the ring was already built, and the fans were great.  All the wrestlers that Harley uses are some of the best in the country... Ace Steel, Superstar Steve, Trevor Rhodes, the list goes on.  I had a really good match against Trevor and Steve with Harley's most recent graduate, Darren Wade.  The kid is really talented, and we had the crowd rocking for 15 minutes.  All I can say is a big thanks to everyone in Eldon and everyone in WLW for the experience.  I hope to work for Harley in the near future and especially for the enthusiatic fans in Eldon.

Peace

Mark

5/23/04 Thoughts on the Tag Titles....  Me and my boy Mason Hunter, the Midwest Xpress are now the NWA Midwest Tag Champions.  We had to go through Strider and Young, and Griz and Krow, and so far have defended against Strider and Wade Chism.  Many others will come after us.  The belts were held by the freaking SATS before us, so you know these belts are a big deal in the midwest territory.  It is a big honor to have these belts and I am going to give my all to uphold the tradition of the NWA and WRESTLE my ass off!  Thanks to everyone who made Midwest Mania possible and thank you to the promoters of NWA Kansas.  Until next time, keep marking out.

Peace

Mark

My Thoughts on MRW. May the 8th, 2004.

I was happy with my match with #1 Brett Young..... until I lost.  I had that punk beaten with an O'connor Roll and he had the nerve to pull my tights and picked up the CHEAP win.  Well, that doesn't sit to well with me at all.  I will give him credit for kicking out of the tornado ddt.  If only I had hooked the leg I might have pinned him after that move.  Oh, well.  Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda....... at least Brett didn't connect on his lame chair shots.  I could see them coming a mile away.  :)

Even though I lost the match, Brett is now aware that when he fights Mark Sterling, he is in for a "slobberknocker".  Strider may not be the nicest guy to the fans, but Strider taught me to defend myself in the ring pretty damn good.

Overall, the show was great.  MRW has a excellent product.  Sure, there were some things that could have worked out better, but it is a work in progress.   All the wrestlers, refs, ring crew, everyone involved in production, merchandise, security, and concessions really busted their ass and we all pulled together for the one of best indy shows that this area has seen in a long time.

Big props to Colt Cabana to his win over Michael Strider.  Colt is a very accomplished grappler.  I watched his watch on the monitor in the locker room, and Colt worked his ass of and is very polished.  I am very happy Colt is going to be a part of the shows June 18th and 19th for MRW, MRW, MRW!

Mad props to Delirious for his win over Showtime Darrien Sanders.  I've been on at least 15 or so shows with Delirious, going back to the old CSW days.  I'm even stepped in the ring with him and wrestled him when I was doing the whole "Thanatos" thing.  Delirious has evolved into an indy superstar, and he deserves it.  I'm proud to say we cut our teeth in the business on a lot of the same shows. BAH! BAH! BAH!

Too bad that my valet Daizze Haze lost to Super Electro.  She put up one hell of a fight.  She landed many impressive, high flying manuevers and can go with anyone in the ring.  Super Electro is pretty entertaining though, I'll give him that.  Daizee will score a W next time...

Caster is huge and beats the @$#* out of people.  That kicks ass!

Congratulations to MRW on a good first show.  I know we will grow into something really special.

Peace
